Everything you need to know about booking and participating in an Arctic Floating Narvik experience.

Booking
Bookings can be made through our website and our booking system, Citybreak, or directly with Arctic Floating Narvik where applicable.
A booking is considered confirmed once you have received a booking confirmation.
The person making the booking is responsible for providing accurate information and for ensuring that all participants included in the booking are aware of these Terms & Conditions and relevant safety requirements.
Payment
Prices are displayed in Norwegian kroner (NOK) unless otherwise stated.
The total price applicable to your booking will be displayed before payment is completed.
Payment is processed through the payment solution connected to our booking system.
Your booking is not considered confirmed until the required payment has been successfully completed and a booking confirmation has been issued.
Cancellation by the Guest
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is kept simple and transparent.
Full refund
No refund
Guests may cancel their booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled start time of the experience and receive a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled start time are non-refundable.
To be eligible for a refund, the cancellation must be received by Arctic Floating Narvik or registered through the booking system no later than 48 hours before the scheduled start time.
No-shows and guests who arrive too late to participate are not eligible for a refund.
Cancellation by Arctic Floating Narvik
Arctic Floating Narvik reserves the right to cancel or modify an experience when necessary due to circumstances including:
- Unsafe weather or sea conditions
- Operational or technical issues
- Safety concerns
- Illness or unavailable personnel
- Insufficient participant numbers where a minimum number is required
- Events or circumstances outside our reasonable control
If Arctic Floating Narvik cancels your experience and no suitable alternative can be offered or accepted, you will receive a full refund for the cancelled experience.
Safety will always take priority.
We are not responsible for additional expenses incurred by guests as a result of a cancellation, such as accommodation, transportation, flights or other travel arrangements, except where required by applicable law.
Weather & Sea Conditions
Arctic Floating is an outdoor experience and is dependent on weather and sea conditions.
Rain, snow, wind, clouds or cold temperatures do not automatically result in cancellation.
Our guides will assess conditions and determine whether the experience can be conducted safely.
The final decision regarding safety and whether an experience can proceed rests with Arctic Floating Narvik and the responsible guide.
The location, duration or format of an experience may be adjusted when reasonably necessary due to weather, sea conditions or safety considerations.
Safety
All participants must follow instructions given by Arctic Floating Narvik guides and staff before, during and after the activity.
Participants will be provided with appropriate floating or survival equipment for the experience.
Equipment must be used according to the instructions provided by our staff.
Participants must not intentionally damage, misuse or remove safety equipment.
The responsible guide may stop an activity or refuse participation if they believe a participant's behaviour or condition could create a risk to themselves, other guests, staff or equipment.
Participant Responsibilities
Participants are responsible for determining whether they are reasonably capable of participating in the activity.
Before participating, guests must inform Arctic Floating Narvik of any relevant circumstances that could affect their ability to participate safely.
This may include mobility limitations, injuries or other circumstances relevant to participation in cold-water and outdoor activities.
If you are uncertain whether the activity is suitable for you, please contact us before booking.
Alcohol & Drugs
Participants must not be under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or other substances that could impair their judgement, coordination or ability to follow safety instructions.
Arctic Floating Narvik reserves the right to refuse participation if a guide reasonably believes that a participant is impaired.
If participation is refused due to intoxication or impairment, the guest is not entitled to a refund.
Age Requirements & Children
Children and participants under the age of 18 must meet any age, size and safety requirements specified for the experience.
Participants under 18 must be accompanied by, or participate with the permission of, a parent or legal guardian where required.
The suitability of safety equipment is essential. Arctic Floating Narvik may refuse participation if suitable equipment cannot be safely fitted to a participant.
Please contact us before booking if you are uncertain whether the experience is suitable for a child.
Clothing & Personal Belongings
Guests must follow any clothing recommendations or requirements provided before the experience.
Arctic Floating Narvik is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings unless caused by circumstances for which we are legally responsible.
We recommend leaving unnecessary valuables in a safe location.
Late Arrival
Guests are responsible for arriving at the specified meeting point at the time stated in their booking confirmation.
Please arrive with sufficient time to prepare for the experience.
Late arrival may result in reduced participation time or the guest being unable to participate if delaying the activity would affect other guests, operations or safety.
Guests who miss the experience because of late arrival are considered a no-show and are not entitled to a refund.
Changes to the Experience
Due to the nature of outdoor activities, the exact itinerary, location, duration or timing may occasionally need to be adjusted.
Arctic Floating Narvik may make reasonable changes where necessary due to weather, safety, operational conditions or other circumstances.
Such adjustments do not automatically entitle the guest to a refund when the core experience can still be delivered.
Risk & Liability
Arctic Floating Narvik takes reasonable precautions to provide a safe and professionally managed experience.
However, participation in outdoor activities involves inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated.
Participants are expected to follow all safety instructions and act responsibly.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be prohibited under applicable Norwegian law.
Photos & Video
Photos or videos may occasionally be taken during our experiences.
Where required, we will obtain appropriate permission before using identifiable images of guests for marketing or promotional purposes.
Guests may inform the guide if they do not wish to be photographed or filmed.

Personal Data
Personal information provided during booking is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
We use Citybreak as our booking system, and relevant personal information may be processed through Citybreak and associated payment providers to complete and manage your reservation.
Force Majeure
Arctic Floating Narvik is not responsible for failure or delay in providing an experience where this is caused by extraordinary circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include:
- Severe weather
- Natural disasters
- Road closures
- Government restrictions
- Emergencies
- Strikes
- Major infrastructure failures
- Other events that could not reasonably have been prevented
Where possible, we will attempt to offer an alternative solution. Any refund or other remedy will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the cancellation.
Right of Withdrawal
Certain leisure services provided on a specific date or during a specific period may be exempt from the ordinary statutory right of withdrawal applicable to some online purchases.
Where the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to your booking, cancellation is instead governed by the cancellation conditions described in these Terms & Conditions.
For eligible guest cancellations, our standard policy is a full refund when cancelled at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancellations after this deadline are non-refundable.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply under Norwegian law.
Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with your experience, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where possible, concerns should be raised during the experience so that our team has an opportunity to address the issue.
Complaints after the experience should be submitted in writing and include relevant booking information and a description of the issue.
We will make reasonable efforts to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Norwegian law.
Any dispute should first be attempted resolved directly between the guest and Arctic Floating Narvik.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any mandatory rights or dispute-resolution options available to consumers under Norwegian law.
Changes to These Terms
Arctic Floating Narvik may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary.
The Terms & Conditions applicable to your booking are those presented or made available to you when the booking is made, unless changes are required by applicable law.
